Portfolio: An edited collection of their best artwork intended to showcase an artist's style or method of work.
A successful portfolio will be linked to a theme and carries a consistent style. The editing treatment must be similar throughout the images to keep the style the same. Each portfolio needs to have a limit of three formal elements that are focused on and only ones best work must be showcased. Work should be aesthetically pleasing and have a clear presentation.
My portfolio:
- Aesthetic
- Colour
- Light
- Form
- Movement
- People
- Surrealism
These photos of mine show Form and Colour. The form of the rocks/leaves and the colour of the leaves. I could edit the hue and saturation as well as lightness/darkness to improve the aesthetics.
These photos show movement as well as different light levels. The movement in these pictures is captured by the slow shutter speed and the sparklers demonstrate bright light. There is also a sense of surrealism in these images.
These pictures show or contrast colour. The second picture is in a normally colourful environment but the colours have been deleted and its now b&w. This has a sense of surrealism as this is skewed reality. The other picture features flowers which are bright in colour and bring the element of colour to my portfolio.
Making good progress here but try to be refine the work further through editing the images... the portrait series of the male figure holding flowers needs to be reviewed further by selecting fewer images.
